One man faces multiple charges after he stole his mother's car and tried to get away from police. Sunday morning, Rayne Police say they got a complaint that someone was driving recklessly on Highway 90 approaching Rayne. Officers saw the car and pulled it over. But the driver, Joshua Marshall of Carencro, then took off. Officers chased Marshall to the Duson eastbound exit where officers tried to block him from getting back onto the Interstate. But Marshall kept driving. He then rammed a parked police car and tried to run over one of the officers. He eventually wrecked the car, then still tried to fight off the police when they caught up to him. He was arrested with only minor injuries. Marshall's mother reported the car stolen later that day. Marshall is now charged with Attempted First Degree Murder, DWI and Driving under suspension among other charges.
