Accused Seafood Thief Nabbed In Morgan City

38-year-old Tanisha Wilkerson of Morgan City has been arrested for allegedly stealing 14 packs of crawfish tails and one box of shrimp, nearly $200 worth of seafood, from Rouse's in Morgan City.

According to our news partners at KATC, store management approached Wilkerson, but she allegedly dropped her bag and started running away. Officers called out to the scene then found her and chased her, eventually catching her in the 1200 block of Victor II Boulevard.

Police say Wilkerson was already wanted for a warrant for probation violation. She faces that charge, as well as Resisting an Officer and Theft of Goods.
