Accused Thief And Alleged Drug Dealer Arrested By Rayne Police

Rayne Police arrested two area men in two separate incidents.

Rayne Police say 21-year-old Rakeem Yokum of Rayne is behind bars after getting caught allegedly selling crack cocaine to an undercover agent. He was arrested Thursday and charged with Distribution of a Schedule II CDS (crack cocaine).

Rayne Police say 31-year-old David LeMelle of Rayne was arrested after he was shown on crimestoppers taking a wallet and money from a vehicle at Shop Rite. Through citizen's help, LeMelle was identified and subsequently arrested on Tuesday. He's charged with Simple Burglary.
