The older I get the less I am amazed at some of the things I see and hear.  As a child I believed in heroes and even super-heroes I watched on the silver screen or television.  Most of the time we would find out that actors like James Dean, John Wayne and Robert Mitchum were a lot like their fictional characters.  These days actors will play any role for the almighty dollar and no have convictions that relate to the character which they play.

My blood boiled last night when I watched a public service announcement with a score of Hollywood luminaries urging more gun control to curb senseless violence.  The message didn't upset me but the messengers did.  The overpaid hypocrites have the nerve to urge everyone to back more laws controlling guns but these same idiots make millions starring in roles that glorify the senseless violence they decry!  It doesn't take intestinal fortitude to take a stand for a cause in front of the camera that earns you millions while depicting the act your are advocating against.  It takes pure gall!  These overpaid egos are a prime example of "do what I say, not what I do".  They will do anything to boost their careers including advocating for the news story of the day.

I've already pledged never to watch another Jamie Foxx movie because of his comments about his latest money making role in "Django Unchained" but I will extend that pledge to everyone of the hypocrites who participated in the public service announcement I watched last night.

I wish I could say more about how I feel about the hypocrisy of these Hollywood clowns but I owe it to my keyboard to stop now.  I urge you to join me in my pledge to avoid movies that include the actors involved in this anti-violence movie.
