Youngsville has been hit really hard by the flood of 2016. Now, we have aerial photos of a neighborhood that shows just how bad things really are.

Kurt Reaux Construction posted these photos on Facebook of Highland Ridge and Hwy. 92. Earlier today, the Mayor of Youngsville told Chris Reed that they estimate over 600 homes were damaged within the city limits.

Youngsville officials did allow some to go back into the flooded neighborhoods today to retrieve belongings, but they did not allow them back in after sundown.

Authorities in Youngsville also tell us that neighborhoods flooded will be protected by police and the national guard once the sun goes down.

These images never get easy to see. Our thoughts are with all that have been affected by this devastating flood
