The St. Landry Parish Narcotics Enforcement Team displayed its prowess yesterday as  agents arrested four individuals on narcotics charges.

St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office spokesman Maj. Eddie Thibodeaux reported agents executed warrants after a series of undercover sales involving the distribution of crack cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana and suboxone.

The following individuals were arrested for their involvement in a Krotz Springs drug ring.

  • Brandon Lee Ponthieux, 29, 512 B Eighth Street, Krotz Springs; two counts of distribution of a Schedule II Controlled Substance (marijuana). Bond was set at $20,000.
  • Michael Scott Polotzola, 34 422 Division Road, Krotz Springs;distribution of a Schedule III Controlled Dangerous Substance (Suboxone). Bond was set at $6,500.
  • Cory Williamson, 34, 232 Island Home Rd., Krotz Springs; distribution of a Schedule III Controlled Dangerous Substance (Suboxone). Bond was set at $6,500.
  • William Harold Anderson, 29, 553 Division St., Krotz Springs;  Possession of Schedule III Controlled Dangerous Substances (Marijuana). Bond was set at $6,000.

Our narcotic agents receive anonymous calls on various illegal drug activity and investigate every case," said Sheriff Bobby Guidroz. "Sometimes it may take time to make an arrest but rest assured they are being investigated and, if confirmed, arrests will be made.
