Agents Search Abbeville Home & Make Drug Arrest

The Vermilion Parish Narcotics unit started investigating at 315 Berthier Street after drug sales were reported in that area.
Agents say they seized three “cookies” of crack cocaine (large circular slabs), several rocks of crack, marijuana prepared for packaging for street level sale, and illegal prescription drugs.
They say they also confiscated things that are used to make crack along with 796 dollars in suspected drug money. Sheriff Couvillon says the street value for the drugs was around 45-hundred dollars.
33-year-old Patrick Davenport of Abbeville was charged with the following:
- possession with the intent to distribute marijuana
- two counts of possession with the intent to distribute crack cocaine
- manufacturing of crack cocaine
- transactions involving drug proceeds
His bond has been set 127,500 dollars.
