Agreement Reached On How To Split Up BP Fine Money

How will the money be divided up?That's been the question concerning money collected from BP through Clean Water Act fines going towards states affected by the oil spill. An agreement has been reached. A group of US House members representing five Gulf Coast states say at least 80% of the BP fines will be transferred to the most affected states. Parallel legislation has passed out of committee in the Senate with the support of both Senators from Louisiana. The House bill is now ready to start the committee process.
