In this edition of "Not Necessarily The News," Tootie Landry talks about her latest experience with airports and gives her take on how they have changed so much since she was a little girl.

Hey! I’m Tootie Landry and this is what I found out today! Traveling through airports today is way more of a hassle than when we were kids. I remember the first time I flew at 8 years old. We bought our ticket, carried out bags to the plane and hopped on! Today when I fly, I feel like I’m taking off more clothes than when I am in the dressing room at Target! I don’t know why I feel like I have to be extra nice to those TSA agents? Maybe I have a fear of cavity searches!

This past weekend I was flying from Albuquerque. My connecting flight was cancelled and I had the pleasure of being delayed six hours. Of course, the airlines acted like they were doing me a huge favor by giving me a $10 voucher! Folks $10 at an airport will get you two Advil and a bottle of FIJI water.

So what do you do for six hours? After looking at every snow globe, refrigerator magnet and shot glass with cacti, I settled on a copy of The Star. Now I’m caught up on Randy Travis’ unusual trip to the grocery store and Snooki’s wedding! And finally, after arriving home seven hours late the only bags that made it home with me were the ones under my eyes!! And I’m Tootie Landry and this is “Not Necessarily the News!”
