ZACHARY, La. (AP) — A 39-year-old woman accused of using a stolen debit card to make purchases at Zachary stores surrendered to police after her picture was published in the newspaper and shown on television.

Police Chief David McDavid said Wednesday officers booked Alberta Goodman of Baker on five counts of access device fraud.

McDavid tells The Advocate (http://bit.ly/LbsWeM ) a shopper at the Baker Wal-Mart store mistakenly left her wallet in her shopping cart last month and someone took her debit card from the wallet.

Goodman was released on bail Wednesday.

It could not be determined whether Goodman has an attorney.
