Allison Appointed Sulphur Council Chairman

SULPHUR, La. (AP) — Sulphur City Council has a new chairman.

The American Press reports Veronica Allison was appointed to the one-year term at the council's monthly meeting Monday, replacing Dru Ellender.

Allison, previously the council's vice chairman, is a first-term council member.

Fellow first-term council member Randy Favre was appointed vice chairman.
