Early 2011 was when the incident occurred. Millennium Park was home to a wooden playground built by volunteers from the community, and it was burned down.

The primary suspect was Seth Arceneaux, a 18-year old Lake Charles man, who was recently found not guilty by a Lake Charles jury. Arceneaux testified on Tuesday that he did not start the fire, and it didn't take long for the jury to believe him.

The jury deliberated for only 15 minutes before handing down the sentence. The case was based around circumstantial evidence and there was nothing linking Arceneaux to the scene of the crime.

Considering if he was found to be guilty, his sentence would have merited no less than 2 years in prison and fines up to $15,000. Arceneaux was last seen celebrating his sentence with his friends outside the courthouse.
