The position of State Representative for Distric 45, soon to be vacated by Lafayette City Parish President-elect Joel Robideaux, will be filled by one of the two candidates remaining after last Saturday's election: Jean - Paul Coussan and Andre Comeaux.

Both candidates sat down with Bernie and Brandon during 'Acadiana's Morning News' yesterday. Coussan's interview can be found here.

Comeaux discusses the distinctly positive nature of the District 45 race and what he feels are the greatest challenges facing the legislature when a new governor takes office.

On the positive nature of the race, Comeaux said 'I spoke to Jan and Jean Paul afterwards, and Jean Paul and I both pledged for a positive race to continue...it’s about the qualifications and experience of the individual as well as having details on a plan for serving in government.'
