This is from a couple of weeks ago, but it certainly deserves mentioning, as it was a memorable moment for a Lafayette native.

It's former St. Thomas More and LSU standout Andrew Stevenson smashing his first  career MLB home run.

Currently an outfielder for the Washington Nationals, Stevenson's first big league homer took place in an August 21 game against the Philadelphia Phillies in a pinch-hitting role:

Belated congratulations to Andrew, who became the latest Lafayette native to play in Major League Baseball when he made his big league debut in 2017.
