Another Arrest In A Burglary And Theft Ring

Several people have been arrested in a burglary and theft ring after multiple break-ins at camps in the Plaucheville area.

After an airing of the St. Landry Crime Stoppers segment about this case, tips came in about two people, Gregory St. Romain and Brandy Dupuy from Avoyelles Parish.

Dupuy was later booked for possession of stolen things after detectives say the woman was found with some of the items stolen from these camps.

Christopher Few was also arrested in connection with this case, and now a third person, Gregory Anthony St. Romain has been arrested.

Detectives were able to recover some of the stolen property from these camps.

St. Romain was charged with three counts of theft.

St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz says that since they have revamped the St. Landry Parish Crime Stoppers program there have been many more tips and arrests.

He credits the officers involved on this case in his parish and Avoyelles Parish along with broadcasting and social media as helping law enforcement solve crimes.
