BASTROP, La. (AP) — One of the last structures from the former International Paper Co. mill has been demolished.

KNOE-TV reports that former paper mill employees, along with curious onlookers, watched the implosion Saturday morning of what was once the mill's boiler.

Frontier Industrial Corp. is in charge of the demolition of the mill, with work expected to wrap up next year. Manager Hector Suarez said the implosion went as planned, with no injuries

International Paper, based in Memphis, Tenn., closed the 550-employee mill in 2008. In December 2011, the first of the boilers at the site was imploded.
