Armed Robbery At The Ace Cash Express In Lafayette

Lafayette Police have a suspect in custody who they believe robbed the Ace Cash Express at 2222 Ambassador Caffery Parkway around 8:20 this morning.

Police says the suspect walked into the business wearing a mask this morning, and he demanded money before leaving in a black Saturn Vue.

Detectives say the man crashed his car at the intersection of North Domingue Road and Dulles.

Officers say the man fled on foot into a wooded area, and police were able to arrest him.  He is now at Lafayette Police headquarters for questioning.
