A man hoping to meet up with a woman early Tuesday morning got quite a rude shock according to Iberia Parish Sheriff Louis Ackal.

Detectives say the victim had been chatting on the internet Tuesday morning, and they agreed to meet at the intersection of Pershing Street and Cherokee Street in New Iberia.  The victim says the woman showed up, and then they were approached by three males holding guns.

The victim says he was taken at gunpoint to his home by the three men, he was robbed and beaten.  He says the men then fled on foot.

The victim describes the woman as a black heavy set woman standing about 5 feet, 4 inches tall.

He says one of the suspects was a black male, about 5'11", wearing all black clothing with a black shirt covering his face.  He describes the second suspect as a black male, about 5'4", wearing a white shirt, khaki pants and a mask over his face.

The third suspect, also described as a black male, was about 5'6" in height who was wearing dark clothes, and he also had clothing covering his face.

Police are asking anyone with information about the case to call detectives at 337-369-3711.
