Armed Robbery In Iberia Parish Results In Two Arrests

A person giving a ride to four people at a gas station ends up having two guns pointed at him and robbed of his money.

Iberia Parish Sheriff's deputies tell our news partners at KATC that the robbery happened around midday Saturday once the victim took the people to a mobile home in the 4400 block of Old Jeanerette Road. Once they arrived, the victim told police that one of the suspects pointed a gun at his head while another aimed one at his side. Once they got an undisclosed amount of cash, deputies say the suspects ran away through the mobile home park.

Two suspects identified, 18-year-old Devante Robertson of Jeanerette and 17-year-old Jacorey Ledet of New Iberia, have since been arrested and charged with armed robbery. Authorities continue to investigate.
