Armed Robbery In New Iberia

Iberia Parish Sheriff Louis Ackal says they are looking for three men who robbed a business in the 1200 block of Jane Street last night around 10:30.

Deputies says a female working at the business was there to retrieve some items from her office.

She says when she was in the parking lot three black males armed with handguns approached her and demanded money.

She said two of the suspects were wearing hooded sweatshirts, and all three had bandannas covering their faces.

The suspects made off with the victim’s purse and an undisclosed amount of money.  She says they then fled the area on foot.

Detectives with the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office are asking if anyone has information involving the incident to contact the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office at 337-369-3711.
