Monday night just before 10:30, Lafayette Police were called out to a convenience store in the 2300 block of Ambassador Caffery after the clerk says she was robbed at gunpoint. No one was injured during the crime.

The employee told police a man walked into the store armed with a handgun, and he demanded money from the cash register.

The woman says the suspect then took and undisclosed amount of money from the cast register and left the store.

The suspect got into a white four door Honda that then turned left and fled west on Dulles Drive.

The suspect was described by the victim as a black male wearing a black mask over his face, a dark blue long sleeve button down shirt and blue jeans.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about the incident or the identity of the suspects to call Lafayette Police or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
