An estimated $600,000 was dropped on the roadway and police report that people were jumping fences to get some of the money on the road.

Now, police are warning those who took money to return it or face theft charges if caught.

State Police say that they are using cameras to determine who stopped to pick up the cash on the roadway. The license plate on vehicles could lead police to those who stopped to scoop up the cash.

Imagine seeing this happen on I-10 or I-49. I hope you'd have been the one to stop and pick up the cash, then return it.
