Arnaudville Man Arrested In Store Burglary

An Arnaudville man is behind bars, all over a bottle of whiskey.

Deputies in St. Martin Parish say 50-year-old Joseph Mouton broke into the Guidry's Food Store on June 14. Police say he shattered the glass front doors, went inside, and left with the whiskey.

Mouton was already in jail in Arnaudville when police made the connection, but he will be transported to the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center. He will be booked on the charge of Simple Burglary.
