Arnaudville Man Expires In Hospital Following Fight With Neighbor

According to the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office, a physical altercation between two Arnaudville neighbors turned deadly last Thursday.

Sheriff's spokesperson Ginny Higgins said deputies responded to a call of a disturbance between  55-year-old Dewayne Gravouia and 67-year-old George C. Prejean that was ongoing at an address on Betty Drive.

Prejean was transported to a local hospital for injuries he sustained Thursday afternoon. The sheriff's office was notified Friday that Prejean had died from his injuries while in the hospital.

Higgins said the investigation into the incident is still under review and will be turned over to the district attorney's office upon its completion.
