MONROE, La. (AP) — The two Monroe men will be arraigned on June 25 for their involvement in a weekend shooting at Pecanland Mall that sent a 17-year-old to the hospital.

The News-Star reports Christopher Coleman and Nicholus Lawson, both 18, were booked into the Ouachita Correctional Center charged with attempted second-degree murder.

State District Judge Fred Amman set bonds at $80,000 each Monday.

Police says Coleman and Lawson were leaving the mall Saturday night and were confronted by 17-year-old in the parking lot.

Police say there was a fight and the 17-year-old was shot in the chest.

It could not be determined whether the suspects have attorneys.
