Arrest Made In Bayou Vista Bank Robbery Case

22 year old Torrell Wayne Tillman of Bayou Vista has been arrested by the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's office and charged with armed robbery.  It's alleged that Tillman entered a Teche Federal Bank on Southeast Boulevard in Bayou Vista this past Saturday, claimed to have an explosive device and demanded money.  With approximately $2,400 in cash Tillman allegedly fled on foot.  Detectives determined that Tillman was a 'person of interest' and secured a warrant for his arrest.  Tillman was arrested last night at his home on Saturn Road in Bayou Vista and transported to the St. Mary Parish jail where he is awaiting a bail hearing.
