Arrest Made In Church Point Homicide

Acadia Parish Sheriff Wayne Melancon says his office had made an arrest in a homicide that was discovered shortly before midnight yesterday morning in Church Point.

Church Point resident, 20-year-old Raymond L. Celestine IV, was charged with 2nd degree murder in the shooting death of 32-year-old Anthony Citizen.

Citizen was found dead after deputies were called out to investigate a report of shots being fired off of Peach Bloom Highway.

Deputies say Citizen had been shot multiple times.

Celestine was arrested and booked into the Acadia Parish Jail after turning himself at the Sheriff's Office.
