Arrest Made In Church Point Murder/Arson- Another Suspect On The Loose

22 year old Kantarise 'Tatty' Jordan Lazaro of Church Point is free on $10,000 bond after being arrested and charged with being an accessory after the fact to first degree murder. It's alleged that Lazaro helped 33 year old Nicholas James Dupuis of Crowley in the attempt to dispose of the body of 31 year old Shontel Denise Joseph of Opelousas. Joseph's badly burned body was found after a fire was extinguished in Church Point Sunday morning. Autopsy of Joseph's body found two gunshot wounds to the upper torso. Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Nicholas James Dupuis is asked to call the Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office at 337-788-8700. Dupuis is wanted in the death of Shontel Joseph and should be considered armed and dangerous.
