A suspect is in custody and charged with murder in the disappearance of Daisy Lynn Landry. 22-year-old Malik Davis was arrested yesterday and charged with 2nd degree murder in the case. Bond was set at 250,000 pending trial. The online court record system says he is due in court tomorrow. John Mowell of the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Department says this is an ongoing investigation which is why only limited information is being released.

The Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office has been the lead agency on the case of missing 18-year-old Jacquelyn "Daisy Lynn" Landry. She was reported missing on Tuesday, May 23rd after she did not arrive at a friend's home who she was going to meet. She had last been seen in the area of Kaliste Saloom and Ferrel Roads in Lafayette. Family members took to social media to announce the arrest and ask for privacy during this tough time:

An earlier missing persons report said Landry was about 5 feet 1 and weighed 105 pounds with shoulder-length brown hair and blue eyes.
