Arrest Made In Porter Lane Shooting

Lafayette Police have made an arrest after a shooting in Lafayette Thursday afternoon.

Police found 26-year-old Adam James Noel in a home in the 200 block of Porter Lane, and the man had been shot.

While Noel was taken to a hospital for treatment, he died.

Detectives, members of Lafayette's Special Investigative Unit, Lafayette Marshalls and Lafayette Parish Sheriff's deputies were able to track down Elies Leonard Charles.

Charles was arrested and charged with Second Degree Murder for Noel's death.  

He was also taken into custody due to a warrant for Armed Robbery. The Armed Robbery charge had nothing to do with the shooting case.
