Atchafalaya River Highway To Have Alternating Lane Closures Continue In May (UPDATED)

UPDATE: There will be alternating lane closures on the Atchafalaya River Highway (LA 3177) in the northbound and southbound directions under the I-10 overpass from Monday, April 2 until Thursday, May 24. This will happen DAILY from 7 AM til 5 PM as DOTD crews will work to repair, clean and paint the I-10 overpass, weather permitting.

Also, I-10 Westbound from Atchafalaya River Bridge (mile marker 122.8) to LA 3177 (Atchafalaya River Highway) overpass (mile marker 122.0), the right lane and shoulder will be closed nightly through Monday, May 7, (except Sunday, May 6) as crews setup containment systems for cleaning, blasting and painting the bridge.
