Attempted Armed Robbery In Amelia

St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Detectives are currently searching for the suspect involved in an attempted armed robbery at the Quick General Store.

The survelliance footage shows the suspect brandish a silver handgun while escorting the clerk to the front of the store where she was able to get away and lock herself in the office.

Due to the suspect not being able to get her out of the office, he left the store empty handed.

He is described as a 5'10" black male with a medium build. He was wearing a Royal blue sweatshirt and a blue ski mask during the time of the robbery. (Pictured Left.)
