The man police believe to be responsible for an attempted carjacking in Calcasieu Parish is now behind bars. Police say they received calls from residents complaining about a suspicious man walking around the neighborhood and looking into cars. When police arrived, they found 18-year-old Jeremy L. Comeaux of Sulphur asleep in an SUV, the driver's side window broken. A search of the SUV turned up a 40-caliber handgun which policer believe was used in the carjacking. Comeaux is in the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center on armed robbery and assault charges.
