SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) — Attendance set a record at the State Fair of Louisiana, which closed on Sunday.

Fair president Chris Giordano tells KTBS (http://bit.ly/17RyLPA ) that an estimated 430,000 people attended the fair over its 15-day run, including 72,000 on Nov. 2, the most one-day total ever.

Giordano says sales totaled about $1.25 million, up from $1.1 million in 2012.

Work to break down the site is expected to be completed by Thursday.
