Audit Cites 15th JDC, LCG Councilman For Possible Law Violations

A report from the Louisiana Legislative Auditor's office is calling foul for possible state law violations committed by the 15th Judicial District involving LCG Councilman Kenneth Boudreaux.

The report released this morning states Boudreaux was simultaneously serving as the Youth Services Director for the District Attorney and as a LCG councilman between June 2008 and January 2015. Working under those two titles poses one possible violation.

In addition, Boudreaux did not always take leave from the DA's office when traveling to out-of-town conferences, and city-parish budget hearings, in his capacity as councilman.

The district attorney's office may have violated the state constitution if Boudreaux was paid for service to the 15th Judicial District while he was away on LCG business.
