The recently completed Audubon Bridge has replaced the Mississippi ferry crossing from New Roads to St. Francisville. The long awaited opening of the Audubon Bridge recently made travel from Pointe Coupee Parish to West Feliciana Parish much quicker.  Now residents won't have to wait for a ferry and spend minutes crossing the Mississippi.  The longest suspended bridge in Louisiana is named in memory of artist John James Audubon who recorded images of 19th century wildlife in the area.
