Nathan Pike

I was born in Tampa, Florida, and grew up all over the southeast, including stops in Georgia, Louisiana, and Arkansas. I also lived nine months in the exotic South American country of Venezuela. Living the majority of my life in Houma, I am no stranger to Cajun and Creole culture. I am a broadcasting and political science double major at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. I love everything about the industry in which I've chosen to make my career. Writing comes naturally to me, and there's nothing like the feeling of tracking down the right source and asking the right questions. At the end of the day, I know I've accomplished something rewarding--bringing you the news and information you need. When I'm not telling you the news on weekday evenings, I work part-time as a bookseller at Barnes & Noble. In my free time, I like to hang out with my closest friends or read on my NOOK. I love all things Star Trek and am a self-proclaimed Trekkie. My heart bleeds Ragin' Cajuns Red, and my soul is Black & Gold. I've also been known to relax with a cool Jack & Coke.
