Suspect At Large After Shooting in New Iberia Sunday Night

A Sunday night shooting in New Iberia puts a man in the hospital.

Captain Ryan Turner with the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office says the incident happened around midnight in the area of 1602 Rogers Street. Capt. Turner says a witness told detectives that a man with a bloody shoulder knocked on her door asking for help after apparently getting shot. The unidentified 25-year-old man has since been treated for his injuries.

Detectives are currently looking for a person of interest who may be involved in the shooting but no description has been given. If you have any information on the shooting, call the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office at 337-369-3711.
