Authorities Looking For Alcohol Thief

Authorities need your help catching a man accused of stealing liquor from two different St. Martinville stores on the same road. Back on February 22, authorities say Daniel Scott Palmer of Lafayette went into Cade's Market on North Main Street, left the store with an alcoholic beverage without paying, and when he was confronted by a store employee, hit the employee and left. Last Wednesday, authorities say Palmer, along with an unidentified white man, went into Dave's Texaco and, this time, stole about $40 worth of alcohol. They left the scene in a black Chevrolet Pickup Truck bearing Louisiana License Plate X786678. Palmer is also wanted by the Lafayette Police Department in reference to similar incidents that occurred in the Lafayette area.
