Authorities Shut Down Tangipahoa Parish Meth Labs
AMITE, La. (AP) — Tangipahoa Parish sheriff's deputies have shut down several methamphetamine operations and arrested five people on related drug counts.
Deputies say a search of a Kentwood home resulted in confiscation of a small meth lab, methamphetamine and several pistols and rifles.
The Advocate reports 44-year-old James Keith Luper and 40-year-old Tracie Booty were booked with possession of a firearm while in possession of a dangerous and controlled substance.
In a separate case, deputies confiscated several small meth labs in Amite and made three arrests.
Authorities booked 41-year-old David Selders of Roseland with operation of a methamphetamine lab.
Also booked were 43-year-old Michael Todd Pope and 45-year-old Jamie Dalen on four counts each of manufacturing methamphetamine.
