Bank Merger

A bank merger is underway after Lafayette-based Home Bank announed they will buy Metairie-based Guaranty Savings Bank at a stock purchase price of about 27-million dollars, or $21 per share.  The purchase means Home Bank will move into Orleans and Jefferson parishes.
