For the first time this year, Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns have swept the Sun Belt Conference Individual honors as pitcher Carson Baranik and first baseman Chase Compton have been named Pitcher of the Week and Player of the Week respectively.

Baranik (9-1) twirled a masterpiece Saturday night in Jonesboro, holding second place Arkansas State to just two singles in the Cajuns' 7-0 win.  Baranik faced just one batter over the minimum and defeated the Red Wolves with just 84 pitches.  He did not walk a batter and struck out seven.

Compton, meanwhile, has a breakout week to help the Cajuns to a 4-1 record.  The senior first baseman was 8-16, scored seven runs, drove in four and recorded a .619 on base percentage.  His two out-two run homer in the ninth inning Tuesday was the game winner in the Cajuns' win at Southeastern Louisiana.  Compton also walked twice, was hit by pitches three times and stole three bases.

It is the second time Baranik has been honored by the league.  Compton is the third different Cajuns' hitter to win the award.  Jace Conrad and Seth Harrison had won it previously.
