BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Baton Rouge police say officers shot and killed a man who refused to drop a gun after a chase across the Mississippi River into West Baton Rouge Parish. Sgt. Donald Stone says  the chase began when a driver ignored a traffic stop. He says the driver stopped after about 12 miles, on Louisiana Highway 190. Stone says when police ordered him out of the car, he got out holding a gun. He says the officers ordered him to drop the gun and fired when he kept it in his hand.
