Bayou Vista Man Arrested After Deputies Say He Was Drunk While Driving His ATV

A St. Mary Parish Sheriff's deputy arrested a Bayou Vista man on November 27, after the deputy says the man was driving his ATV while drunk.

The deputy saw 35-year-old Nathan Leif going northbound in a southbound lane of the road. He stopped Leif and started investigating.

Leif has been charged with:

• Operating a vehicle while intoxicated
• Reckless operation of a vehicle
• Off road vehicle on a public roadway

The deputy says Leif was driving intoxicated and the the wrong way down the road.

Leif was taken to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville to be booked. He was later released on bond.
