The Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations and Beauregard Parish Sheriff's Office teamed up to stop drug distribution in the parish. One of the issues that the team was dealing with was the distribution of meth.

The investigators were able to make purchases of meth from Lester Tubbs of Starks, LA. Once officers had the evidence they needed, a warrant was issued for the arrest of Tubbs and a search of his home.

Yesterday, the Louisiana State Police SWAT team searched the home, where Tubbs and his wife Charlotte were found. The search turned up many stolen items including stolen lawnmowers and power tools.

Along with the stolen items, long guns and numerous handguns were also found in the home. The ownership of the guns is still under investigation, but Lester Tubbs is a convicted felon, therefore this added to the list of his charges.

Tubbs was arrestted for distribution of methamphetamine and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The investigation continues and additional charges against Tubbs and his wife Charlotte are pending.
