Berwick Burglary Suspect Arrested

A thirty-four year-old Berwick man was arrested on a simple burglary warrant in Morgan City yesterday afternoon. St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s deputies arrested Corey Malik of River Road after the investigation into a vehicle burglary a lounge in Berwick.
A deputy developed Malik as his suspect after reviewing surveillance footage of the crime. Malik was brought in for questioning, and then he was taken to the parish jail to be booked. Officials say this is the
third arrest made in this investigation that began on July 16, 2012.
