Biden Heads To Ukraine As Tensions Rise
WASHINGTON (AP) — Vice President Joe Biden is headed to Ukraine this morning to meet with leaders of the turbulent country.
Tomorrow, Biden plans to meet with the acting Ukrainian prime minister and president.
He's also scheduled to meet with legislators and democracy activists before returning to Washington Tuesday night.
Despite an agreement last week aimed at easing tensions, a weekend shootout at a checkpoint in eastern Ukraine manned by pro-Russia insurgents left at least three dead.
