Two state lawmakers have filed a measure for the regular session that would require proof of U. S. citizenship before a candidate could be listed on the Louisiana ballot.  The Republican measure was introduced by Representative Alan Seabaugh of Shreveport and Senator A. G. Crowe of Slidell.  It would require candidates show a certified copy of their birth certificate and additional proof of citizenship in order to run for president, vice president, or Congress in Louisiana.
