Body Of Woman Found In Bayou Teche

The Iberia Parish Sheriff's office received a call at 11:30am today in regards to a missing woman's car being found in downtown New Iberia. Deputies searched the area near Indest and Front Streets and ultimately found the body of a 48 year old woman in Bayou Teche.

There seems to be no foul play but the investigation is ongoing. The identity of the woman is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
