Boil Water Advisory For Plaisance

A boil water advisory has been issued for portions of Plaisance this afternoon.

KATC reports that the advisory covers all streets off of Highway 182 between Compress and Dupre and has been issued due to repair to a water line.

All Plaisance Water System customers are encouraged to take precautions to disinfect water prior to consumption by boiling in a clean container for one full minute.

The precautionary boil water advisory will be lifted upon notification from the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals that water is again safe for use.
